Essay Writing Course

Essay Writing for GAMSAT is a correspondence self-study course designed to help students develop their essay writing skills, and improve their Section II Written Communication score in GAMSAT.

 

This is a self-paced study course. Students will be guided through preparation strategies and provided with essential tools to help improve their essay writing skills.

 

Topics to be covered:

 

– An introduction to GAMSAT Section II
– Preparing for Section II
– Approaching the essay tasks
– Structuring your essays
– Using punctuation effectively
– The expository essay (Task A)
– The discursive essay (Task B)

 

Students will receive a series of assignments, with each assignment being equivalent to a full GAMSAT Section II (two essays).

 

Students will be provided with comprehensive feedback on their essay, a sample essay and constructive advice on how to improve their individual writing style.
